Fakear’s ‘Healing’: A Sonic Odyssey of Rebirth and Renewal
In the realm of electronic music, French DJ and producer Fakear needs no introduction. With a glittering career that has seen him explore uncharted musical territories, he’s back with a fresh offering, “Healing,” set to drop this summer via Nowadays Records. As if that weren’t enough, Fakear is gearing up for an extensive European tour, promising fans an electrifying musical journey through the summer and beyond.
Fakear’s musical evolution has been nothing short of awe-inspiring. With a blend of emotive, idiosyncratic, and globally infused electronic sounds, he crafts music that transcends boundaries, poised to captivate a wide-ranging audience.
Speaking about his latest creation, “Healing,” Fakear explains, “Healing, it speaks for itself. This track feels like therapy, an encouragement to dance and let go. I have never worked as hard as I have for this album and tour, and it feels amazing to be enjoying the fruits of this labour.”
For an artist, the journey is more than just honing a craft; it’s a deeply personal and often dizzying emotional voyage. Fakear knows this all too well. After experiencing the exhilaration of rapid fame, including a sold-out concert at the iconic Olympia in Paris before even releasing his first album (which later achieved gold record status) and performing at festivals worldwide, such as the Red Rocks festival in the USA, Fakear felt the need to reinvent himself.
He yearned to reconnect with the essence of his artistry, embracing spontaneity and, above all, honesty. A decade into his musical journey, Fakear looked back on his past with kindness rather than nostalgia or disdain.
This creative reawakening found its expression in one word: “Talisman,” his recent album released in February 2023. Tracks like “Moonlight Moves,” “Altar,” “Voyager,” and “Odyssea” (featuring environmental activist Camille Etienne) showcased his evolution. The album was accompanied by sold-out shows across France and Europe, including a memorable performance at Le Trianon in Paris, with another sold-out show at salle Pleyel scheduled for February 2024.
“It was a complete rebirth. I had lost this crazy energy I once had doing all this,” Fakear reflects.
But the comeback story doesn’t end with one album, nor does inspiration stand still for Fakear.
“There is something magical happening when we get so confident. We allow ourselves to have fun, we think less, we feel the love from the audience. And the most beautiful thing is I believe this totally impacts the creation process.”
This renewed energy led to the birth of new songs, continuing the journey of rebirth and inspiration for Théo. These tracks are an extension of “Talisman,” offering a new dimension, a parallel universe of sound.
Get ready to embark on this musical odyssey with Fakear as he unleashes “Healing” and continues to explore uncharted realms of sound, emotion, and creativity.
“As I was gradually reconnecting with the outside world, I was realizing how essential it was to me, and how much I had missed it. My new songs are full of this feeling. I love making music so that it can be shared, lived, vibed, and danced to. ‘Talisman’ was me returning to my roots. The new songs are a window to the future.”
