Life is an unpredictable journey filled with surprises, experiences, and moments we never see coming. For many of us, the uncertainty of what lies ahead can be daunting, leading to feelings of anxiety and fear. But for Danish-Corsican singer MALU, living a life of predictability was never an option.

MALU recently ended a long-term relationship and dropped out of full-time studies to pursue her passion for music and explore her true self. “Since I was a little girl, even the most insignificant bumps on the road have felt like standing at a crossroads. I’ve always wanted life to follow this straight path, when actually it’s all the detours, twists and turns that make it fun and spontaneous. I bloom through music; it gives me the strength to sing my way out of my identity crisis and develop as a singer but also as a human being. ‘Comfort Zone’ tells my story – but I know it reflects a story of many,” she shares.

“Comfort Zone” is an uplifting soul ballad that exudes the warmth of spring with a hint of nostalgia and modern pop vibes. This new single marks MALU’s return to the music scene after her 2021 self-released debut, “Polish,” which showcased her unique blend of her calm Danish roots and soulful voice, enriched by her Corsican background’s flamboyant heart-on-sleeve way of expressing lyrical emotions and aesthetics.

Marie-Louise Pierini Lüders, or MALU for short, fell in love with music when she was just five years old. Two movers, who coincidentally came by her childhood home to dispose of a piano, inadvertently sparked her lifelong love affair with music. MALU convinced the movers and her parents to let her keep the piano, and from then on, she learned classical piano and sang in jazz and soul orchestras. As a solo artist, MALU has become a sensation on the Copenhagen live music scene, selling out every show she plays. Later this year, she will headline the legendary Vesterbro-venue, VEGA.
