- Desert Island Cloud Indie pop jazz folk bliss

The Gender Gnomes are a Brooklyn-based indie-folk-jazz-pop duo with Rachel, singer of songs and flute player, and Pat, player of guitars, bass, mandolin saxophone and trumpet.

We wrote Manhattan as a joyous ride through the seasons, sights, and sounds of New York’s most famous borough. Our goal was to bring the city to life by turning well-known places (Central Park, a seventh-floor fire escape) into thoughtful beings, who not only know what you need but how to provide it. And we wanted it to bop, to sound equally familiar and fresh.
