Honest and thought-provoking lyricism
With Jermaine Robinson’s blend of unconventional production styles, along with honest and thought-provoking lyricism, it is apparent that Jermaine is making a conscious effort on highlighting his individuality, and to challenge the status quo of modern-day hip-hop artistry.
While wearing the hats of both artist and producer, he is gearing up to be an undeniable force in the evolution of music. Born Brandon Jermaine Robinson and raised south of Atlanta, GA in the neighbourhood of East Point, he began his exploration in music at the age of eight years old.
Robinson takes pride in being an Atlanta native, and his artistry has been heavily inspired by the pioneers and legends of the Atlanta music scene. In his music, you can hear traces from the likes of Outkast, Goodie Mob and T.I. along with influences from other acts like J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Drake and JAY-Z. He thrives off challenging himself every time he goes into the studio to create, and constantly combats the idea of what makes a song mainstream or not.
He believes that listeners on an international level have a more developed ear than what the music industry credits them with, and insists on creating music that is innovative and pushes people forward, rather than regurgitating what has already been done.
