An intriguing illustrative musical journey
Oftentimes people’s “apologies” for their bad behaviour are simply spineless virtue signalling, without integrity, values, or behaviour change to back it up. This song was written to explore the question of can you separate the art from the artist?
“God Complex” draws inspiration from a misogynistic person who is celebrated in our arts community, but also refers to the question on a larger scale, as it is all around us.
Band member, Elisa, wrote this song at a friend’s beautiful artist residency called LEÑA on Galiano Island in BC, using a tiny Reface CS synthesizer that she had never used before.
