Japanese animation and 80’s Nintendo games

SUNRO is a New York-based duo comprising two composers and multi-instrumentalists with backgrounds in media scoring. They each weave their individual influences from video games, animation, jazz and concert music into SUNRO’s lush, poignant musical tapestry.

Inspired in equal parts by Hollywood films, Japanese animation and 80’s Nintendo games, SUNRO’s members began collaborating at New York University Steinhardt, where they both earned their Master’s in Music: Screen Scoring.
