Faiyaz describes his track – I wrote “Dead Animals” after a string of failed relationships before the world went to shit. 

The day after a show, I’m hungover and biking to the rehearsal space, and I see a dead squirrel along the path. I was feeling a lot of regret and pain around the past, racial injustices, and COVID, and turned that anger into the riff. It felt like I was yelling to my exes and bigots that they’ve never heard or felt real love. It just felt real visceral being able to get it out.
