Coming from a background of noise-driven guitar bands, it, therefore, makes sense that they should become a band of synth-laden, soulful pop songs harking longingly to the sounds of Prince, Talking Heads and Chaka Khan via the sounds of some of today’s modern experimentalists, such as Justice, Carpenter Brut and Todd Terje.
No pretensions or claims of world domination. It’s just good pop music that makes you want to dance. And there’s always room for that, right?
