“Secrets is influenced by ÊMIA, explains producer Polar Youth. I randomly found her on Soundcloud and was massively inspired. I wanted to create a track that would accentuate her angel-like voice with a slow but meaningful beat.” The result? A real banger with intimate, feminine verses that feel like confessions coupled with an explosive synth-driven chorus hitting you with the cold hard truth and a catchy, soaring pop melody. With her signature orange hairdo, Elisabeth Verstraete aka Polar Youth is a stellar talent on the rise.

A multi-instrumentalist, the Ghent-native dived into production at 12 and never looked back. Her ever-growing passion caught the ears and attention of the renowned DJ Lefto in 2014 and earned her the title of Most Promising Artist at the Red Bull Elektropedia Awards the very same year. Her unique electronic sound mixing pop melodies and crisp hip-hop beats acts as a solid icebreaker already melting the heart of many of her peers in the industry.

Belgian rap sensation Coely called for her magic touch on her Gold-certified album Different Waters, while Majestic Casual released her remix for Swedish duo The Endorphins’ Ms. Right Now. DJ Fresh himself is also a fan and decided to work with the 23-year-old on her official debut single All Night. Unveiled last year, the song garnered 340K streams on Spotify and received the remix treatment from Metrik. To be released on all streaming platforms, her new single Secrets is just the tip of the iceberg: Polar Youth is currently finishing her debut EP to be expected later this year.
