Caveat Empire is the brainchild of friends Alex Fisher (drums, lead vocals) and Jason Race (guitar, keys). Over the past 8 years they have released an EP, ‘Upstairs Downstairs’, and two full-length albums, ‘Telefiction Animation Man’ and the newly-released, ‘Glass Jar Specimens’. Almost completely self-produced, ‘Glass Jar Specimens’ is the culmination of 3+ years of writing and recording.

As artists, Caveat Empire seek to be unrestrained by genre boundaries, striving to produce an eclectic and surprising listening experience.
The track is “based on the theory that humans are not alone in the universe, and our evolution could have been a hybrid experiment by extraterrestrial beings. Earth is an experiment, and we are the specimens.”
