Operator by ARK
Following on from the success of her debut single released in November 2017, singer/songwriter ARK has released her second single “Operator” on 16th February 2018.
ARK’s debut single “Made for Us” generated over half a million streams on Spotify in the first six weeks of release and now her follow-up single “Operator” looks set to continue this early success into 2018 with its captivating and soaring melodies and an instantly arresting sound. It has been added to Spotify’s New Music Friday playlists in Germany and Switzerland. Fans of her last single will certainly not be disappointed.
“Operator” was inspired by ARK’s experience of moving back to London and the overwhelming sense of big city life in contrast to suburban living. It’s a very personal expression of a change of life; learning to welcome the change, but staying connected to oneself. As ARK herself explains, “it’s a song that needed to be written in order for me to let go and embrace the vulnerability that we all feel here in London!” The lush arrangements and soundscape provide dramatic support to ARK’s stunning vocal and its hypnotic blend of power and delicacy.
ARK has been performing at selected venues over the last year including supports for; Alex Vargas, Scott Matthews, Meadowlark, and Oscar & the Wolf. Further selected performances along with more track releases are all planned for 2018.
